Hearthill fibreglass rod is made with fibreglass strands impregnated with a two part polyurethane epoxy resin. This new rod is constructed to allow for minimum bend radiuses without fracturing the rod and too also withstand temperatures over 50°C without snapping.
The 9mm and 11mm rod has a 1mm copper strand in the middle. These can be used as a locator of the underground network by simply energizing the dispenser cage once the rod has been installed. The use of a receiver above ground will track the conduit or pipe via the energized rod.
There are a range of accessories to assist the linesman further particularly if there are existing cables in the conduit or if the distance is too great for one roll to reach the end you can come in from both ends and join then in the middle.
There are 5mm, 7.5mm, 9mm and 11mm fibreglass rods available in any length to suit the customer’s needs and a new high impact high density polyethylene pipe at 22mm with brass threaded fitting for the tougher jobs. These are 3 metres in length.
